Coat of arms of Norway - clean version

Gules, a lion rampant or, crowned or and bearing an axe with blade argent; for a crest a five-pointed screen of the crowned lion of Norway issuant, the points set with peacock’s feathers proper.

The Norwegian lion was adopted in the early 13th century as the coat of arms of the kings of Norway. The crest was added by king Haakon VI Magnussion (reigned 1355-1380) but quickly fell out of use when Norway became part of a personal union with Denmark in 1380 and the Norwegian lion became an integrated part of the coat of arms of the Danish kings.
